A brief thought in passing...

Does Tom Morello of Audioslave(formerly of Rage Against the Machine) actually know how to play a guitar solo without effects?

Seriously, I enjoy the first song on the new album that they're playing on the radio, "Original Fire", even though it sounds like Firebird. But then they get to the solo, and it's all that scratchy RATM waank-waank-waank stuff. Takes me right out of the song.

Oh, and the new Weird Al CD? Good, but not as good as the last album.
