Wow, an update.
Took a breather from the noveling.
I'm up to 6750 words, though I've only posted about 4200 of them. More to come.
Music that has moved me so far:
The Well-Tempered Clavier - Glenn Gould
The Complete In A Silent Way Sessions - Miles Davis
Beastie Boys live on Rockpalast c. 1999 or so.
A tape of various Ben Folds Five live TV appearances.
I'm feeling pretty good about this so far.
*Edit* I would be remiss if I did not also direct you to go and read Llakor from ITVR's attempt to do the same thing I'm doing, except his is better, and it's about 'rasslin. Go here and then follow the links from there. It's good stuff.
--------------------
So Bush wins, Kerry loses, and the status quo stays status quo. Blah, blah, blah. I think South Park summed it up best last week.
Ultimately, no matter who's running, you've either got to choose from a douche or a turd, and that's just how it is.
--------------------
I miss hockey. Just wanted to get that out there.
--------------------
More at some point.

Status quo? Are you kidding? Bush doesn't have to worry about reelection, Cheney is sure as hell not gonna run (should he survive the next 4 years without a major coronary incident).
From Bloomberg News:
Nov. 4 (Bloomberg) -- President George W. Bush, re-elected by the narrowest popular-vote margin for an incumbent since Woodrow Wilson in 1916, may pursue an agenda worthy of a landslide winner.
Bush's victory over Senator John Kerry probably will mean he'll escalate the war in Iraq to try to defeat insurgents and ensure that elections are held as scheduled in January.
Aided by expanded Republican control of Congress, he'll try to carve out private retirement accounts from Social Security, open up more U.S. lands to oil drilling and make permanent his $1.7 trillion in tax cuts, undeterred by record deficits...
