A traveshamockery

This article just says everything I possibly could have said about this fight. Initially, I was rooting for Burton to win because Augustus is a clown, but fair is fair.

I agree entirely with the article.

And for what it's worth, I thought Augustus' clowning actually served a purpose in the fight: Burton's biggest issue, as it was against Diaz, is that he just doesn't let his hands go enough. With Augustus clowning around so much, it seemed like Burton couldn't get in a rhythm to let more punches off- he seemed to be afraid that he could get countered from a strange angle at any moment. He's the sort of fighter where, the instant you make him think, you've won.

Yes, much of my watching of that fight was waiting to see if Burton was going to just stop dancing and hit Augustus mid-clown.

But when the ref started calling phantom stuff, I was like, "oh, I know where THIS fight's going."
